Supporting Youth Education and Mentorship Programs with MABTF

Updated: Jun 6

Empowering underserved youth in Southern New Jersey is at the core of a foundation's mission that has recently undergone a rebranding. The organization, known as MABTF, is dedicated to providing a wide range of programs and services aimed at supporting youth education and mentorship in the community.

One of the key initiatives of the foundation is to offer a variety of workshops focused on youth financial literacy, health and wellness literacy, as well as AI and social media literacy. Additionally, MABTF provides AI career exposure and industry pathways, creative AI in art, music, and storytelling, hackathons, and innovation challenges to help young individuals develop essential skills for the future. Through its website, MABTF aims to educate visitors about its mission, programs, and upcoming events while also seeking support through donations, volunteers, and the recruitment of community board members. As an affiliate of Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Inc.—Kappa Upsilon Sigma Chapter, MABTF benefits from substantial social and cultural capital that enables it to have a more significant impact within the community and throughout the state. This affiliation also allows the foundation to partner with the chapter on initiatives to support their Sigma Beta Club, which is a youth mentoring program for young boys between the ages of 8 and 18. This further enhances its ability to support and guide young individuals on their journey to greatness. By focusing on empowering youth through educational workshops and mentorship programs and leveraging its strong social and cultural capital, MABTF stands out as a leader in the field of youth empowerment and education. The foundation's commitment to providing opportunities for underserved youth to thrive and succeed sets it apart as an invaluable resource for the community.
